Access to the Pumphouse Weirs is via KwaDabeka from the right bank or KwaMashu from the left bank. There is also an option that is restricted on major races from Molweni Causeway via Burma Road and Five Fingers Causeway. 

The dirt road to access the river is usually badly eroded with deep dongers, so it is limited to 4x4 vehilces only. 2x4 tractors with good ground clearance will probably be OK too.
